Who Should Attend: The ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ Edge Symposium is designed for faculty, staff, and students who are championing student success through ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ Edge practices. Whether you are involved in academic programs, student services, co-curricular activities, research, or administrative support, this symposium offers valuable opportunities to learn, connect, and collaborate. This year, students are invited to showcase their ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ Edge stories in a special COURI student section, and all symposium events! 

  • Ideal Attendees Include:
    • Students engaged in ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ Edge Experiences, Advantages, research, leadership, or co-curricular learning who are interested in sharing their journey, learning from peers and professionals, and participating in symposium sessions through the COURI student showcase.

    • Faculty interested in integrating high-impact practices—such as Edge Experiences and Advantages—into courses, syllabi, mentorship, research, and student engagement.

    • Staff who support student development through programs, advising, student organizations, research support, or leadership opportunities.

    • Student Services Professionals working to provide resources and programs that enhance student success, including representatives from career services, academic support, counseling, and beyond.

    • Campus Leaders and Administrators focused on fostering a campus-wide commitment to engaged, asset-based learning and student success.

Join us for a day of learning, sharing best practices, amplifying student voices, and building connections that will continue to strengthen our ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ Edge community.

    Venue Accessibility
      • The symposium will be held various locations, Centennial Museum, IDRB, El Paso Natural Gas Conference Center, and UGLC. 
      • These buildings feature elevators and ramp access to ensure mobility accommodations. 
    Parking Accessibility
    • Accessible parking spaces are available in the lots nearest to the Sun Bowl Garage.

    Interactive Campus Map Assistive Services
    • If you require accommodations such as sign language interpretation, real-time captioning, or assistive listening devices, please contact us at edge@utep.edu at least two weeks before the event.
    Service Animals
    • Service animals are welcome on campus and at the event.

    • Emergency evacuation routes and procedures are accessible, and event staff will be available to assist if needed.
